Vikas has been tap dancing since age nine and has learned contemporary, hip hop, and ballet since age 13. At 16, Vikas was featured in Dance Magazine along with Josh Scribner after they won the Broadway Underground "Run the Night" competition in New York. At 17, Vikas performed for the First Lady of the United States, Michelle Obama.  At 18, he moved to New York City to pursue a professional dance career and an engineering degree from Columbia University. He is now part of Cat Cogliandro's contemporary dance company called CATastrophe which has been featured at The Pulse in New York City and in Dance Spirit Magazine. In addition, he is a guest member of Jessica Starr's MuseEffect and Muse Dance Company based out of Los Angeles. As far as tap training, Vikas has had the pleasure of performing the works of Sam Weber, Michelle Dorrance, Jason Samuels Smith, and Nicholas Young, and recently spent part of his summer performing tap at the famous Jacob's Pillow Dance Festival. He will be touring the country in the fall of 2014 with Celebrity Dance Conventions to spread his love of dance, and returns to Premiere Dance Center on a regular basis to share the most recent lessons from the New York and Los Angeles dance communities with his students.
